Boost Math Fluency with Engaging Digital Resources

When it comes to helping students build strong math fluency skills, having the right digital resources can make a huge difference. Digital resources allow students to practice key concepts in interactive and engaging ways! AND saving teachers time on prep and copies is a huge bonus!

Building block skills like math fluency, mental math strategies, multiplication practice, and place value, are so important to master. Mastering these skills prepares students for problem solving and thinking critically in math. Using high-quality digital resources helps students understand foundational concepts and enjoy practicing them too!

In this post, I’ll share three of my favorite digital resources and how they can help your second and third graders strengthen their math skills, build confidence, and make fluency practice fun.

Why I love this digital resource:

  • Teacher Slides with Visuals & Notes – The teacher introduction slides help you introduce and review mental math strategies with your students. Colorful and thoughtful visuals help students understand and apply mental math strategies like doubles, doubles +1 (-1), make-a-ten, and think-addition-to-subtract.

  • Engaging Digital Student Practice – Google Slides activities let students manipulate numbers, type answers, and practice independently.

  • Ready-to-Use – Everything is included for a seamless lesson—no extra prep required. I do, we do, you do… it’s all there!

  • Supports Math Fluency Practice – Builds confidence and fluency while keeping students engaged.

This is a perfect digital resource for teachers who want to make math fluency for 2nd grade engaging, hands-on, and effective.

Understanding Multiplication Slide Show & Digital Practice – 3rd Grade

Multiplication is a core skill for math fluency for 3rd grade, but many students struggle when it’s taught abstractly. This digital resource makes multiplication visual, interactive, and easy to understand.

Why I love this digital resource:

  • Teacher Introduction Slides – Includes speaker notes for modeling “I do, we do, you do” lessons.

  • Covers Multiplication Properties – Identity, zero, commutative, associative, and distributive properties are all included.

  • Clear and Colorful Visuals – Vocabulary and multiplication models are displayed clear and concise. Including arrays, equal groups, number lines, and tape models. Teacher Intro Slides are great to print and post on math focus wall.

  • Digital Practice Activities – Students can drag and drop, type answers, and practice multiple ways to solve problems.

This digital resource is ideal for reinforcing multiplication practice and helping students build a strong foundation for fluency and confidence in math. It is fun, simple, and effective!

This digital resource will really help students gain a deeper understanding of place value. This is going to support their overall math fluency and prepare them for higher-level math concepts.

Even if it’s not at the beginning of my math curriculum, review place value is a back to school MUST before we jump into any other math lesson.
